Apostle Suleiman says Herdsmen remark has no religious implication


Debatable pastor, Johnson Suleiman has sworn that his remark over the killing of Fulani Herdsmen is barren of religious allegations.

Suleiman was speaking in Abuja on Monday during a visit to the office of the Department of State Services.

He had been invited for questioning over his inciting comments.
Suleiman has come under fire since a controversial video surfaced online showing him preaching to his congregation to attack and kill any Fulani Herdsman seen around the church premises to protect themselves.
He is the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, Worldwide.

His preaching comes on the backdrop of recurring attacks in Southern Kaduna by suspected Fulani Herdsmen. Hundreds of people have been killed in the attacks.

The National Emergency Management Agency in Nigeria (NEMA) has put the number of deaths that have occurred in the region, at 204.
While the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN place the death toll at 808 killed, a figure disputed by the Police.

Suleiman speaking in Abuja on Monday maintained that his utterance for self-defence was borne out of a purported attack by Herdsmen.


Meanwhile, the road leading to the Department of State Services Headquarters from Federal Secretariat is cordoned by a combined team of Regular Policemen, Regular Soldiers, Guards Brigade all in anticipation of a protest following the invite of Apostle Johnson Suleiman to DSS.
